Despite being badly injured after prolonged beatings, Wang Wang stayed beside her puppies. She was eventually doused with gasoline and set on fire! Yet, even while burning, she instinctively went to her fallen babies—touching them with her paws and gently nudging them with her nose, as if asking: “My babies are you okay?” We cannot rewrite Wang Wang's ending. But we can remember that a living being once existed who deserved far more kindness than this world gave her. Pak Lap Wan in Sai Kung—often called the “Maldives of Hong Kong.” The sea glows under the sun, clear and alive, while the sand feels like time slipping gently through your fingers. In support of Earth Day on April 22, there is a beach cleanup at Pak Lap Wan in Sai Kung today. As a member of Conservation Group, Caesar leads by example—and invited LuLu and WaWa to join, turning their care for the ocean into meaningful action. With a straw hat on, WaWa quietly focuses, picking up plastic bottles one by one, placing them into the bag LuLu holds close. LuLu smiles as she gathers them—as if she’s helping the ocean reclaim its purity. Beside them, Caesar carefully untangles a fishing net from the sand, like freeing the sea from something it never asked to carry. A gentle breeze brushes softly against them, while waves roll in rhythm, composing nature’s most soothing melody. Sunlight warms their skin, as if gathering all the world’s tenderness and placing it quietly in their hands. And yet, deep down, we know—this beauty has never been something to take for granted.
